From the Himalayas to your jar
Nature Elixirs publishes how its resin is made and released.[1] Our team has first-hand knowledge of the Pakistan-based production operation, Himalayan Healing, which carries out collection, purification and processing.
- CollectionRaw resin collected in the Himalayan range.
- PurificationPurified and processed at the company’s own facility in Pakistan.
- Batch SJ2509Finished resin prepared as a production batch.
- Laboratory testBatch tested by a third-party laboratory: AGROLAB LUFA, sample 765188.
- ReleaseBatch released after the report is received and reviewed.
- Our jarFulfilled in the UK by Nature Elixirs Ltd; batch SJ2509 confirmed on receipt.
One business controls the route from collection to tested batch, so it can be documented end to end. That is one of the product’s main strengths. See Himalayan shilajit: origin documentation.
The AGROLAB LUFA report (batch SJ2509)
- Laboratory
- AGROLAB LUFA GmbH, Kiel, Germany (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 stated on the report)
- Batch and sample
- Batch SJ2509, sample number 765188, 300 g
- Testing period / report date
- 25 September–6 October 2025 / 6 October 2025
- Parameters tested
- Lead, cadmium, mercury, total arsenic, aflatoxins, PAHs, pyrrolizidine alkaloids, pesticide residues, E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, yeasts, moulds, aerobic plate count and other analytical parameters
This panel is considerably broader than the four-metal panel behind many “lab tested” claims. It covers toxic metals, mould toxins, PAHs, plant toxins, pesticide residues and microbiological safety in one batch-numbered report.[2] ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for testing-laboratory competence.[3] Lead, cadmium and mercury results are on the report; GB supplement limits for these are 3.0, 1.0 and 0.1 mg/kg.[4] View the original AGROLAB report (PDF, opens in a new tab)
Arsenic: what the report shows
The AGROLAB report records total arsenic and gives two figures for it: 0.98 mg/kg in the results table and 0.70 mg/kg in the remarks. It states a measurement uncertainty of 55%. Because the report itself contains both figures, we reproduce the discrepancy rather than selecting one.[2] Nature Elixirs’ own public page also reproduces both figures and explains the limitation.[1]
- Total is not the same as inorganicTotal arsenic combines organic and inorganic forms. The laboratory recommends determining inorganic arsenic, the toxicologically relevant fraction.
- No GB limit for total arsenic in supplementsThe report notes that no maximum level is defined for this parameter, consistent with GB law, whose supplement limits cover lead, cadmium and mercury.[4]
- Testing is being expandedNature Elixirs has stated that future testing will include inorganic arsenic and thallium.[1]
This is a limitation of the current testing scope, not a failed test. Speciation would complete the arsenic picture.
Additional laboratory testing: Eurofins
A separate Eurofins certificate (report 5086533-0, sample 15498300, 25 September 2025) reports heavy metals per 0.5 mL serving: arsenic 0.213 µg, cadmium 0.0146 µg and lead 0.0367 µg.[5] Additional laboratory documentation is a transparency strength. Because Eurofins reports per serving and AGROLAB in mg/kg, the two sets of figures are kept separate rather than compared directly. View the Eurofins certificate (PDF, opens in a new tab)
Composition: IAS Laboratories
Nature Elixirs provides separate evidence for contaminant screening and for composition. The IAS Laboratories report covers fulvic acid, humic acid, sulfur, moisture and organic matter for a sample received on 1 November 2024.[6] It is an earlier composition analysis, while SJ2509 has the more recent AGROLAB contaminant panel, so it isn’t treated as a batch-specific composition certificate for SJ2509. Fulvic acid results depend on the test method; see fulvic acid testing. View the IAS composition report (PDF, opens in a new tab)
Our purchase and identity check
Our evaluation team bought the product as an ordinary customer. At checkout we paid £2.99 for delivery. The shipment arrived by Royal Mail, and the delivery documentation showed a £7.50 shipping charge, so the brand appears to have covered roughly £4.51 of the delivery cost (£7.50 − £2.99) on our order. The jar was physically inspected and its batch number, SJ2509, matched the AGROLAB batch.
Purchase and fulfilment verified Identity verified
The evaluated jar was physically inspected and its batch identity matched to the documented SJ2509 laboratory batch. A batch report describes a representative sample from that batch, not each individual jar.
Customer feedback
In feedback collected by Best Shilajit UK, more than 90 of 100 respondents rated their experience with Nature Elixirs shilajit at 10/10. This is a consumer-feedback sample about experience, not a clinical study or a nationally representative survey. It is reported under our consumer testing methodology.
Claims assessment
Nature Elixirs describes its shilajit as lab tested and publishes the reports. On the documents above, that claim is accurate for batch SJ2509, with additional laboratory documentation alongside. Health benefits are assessed only from published research on shilajit generally, never from brand material; see what the evidence shows and the UK rules on health claims.
Overall assessment
Strengths
- Original laboratory documents published, including a batch-numbered AGROLAB report with sample number 765188.
- A testing scope far broader than a four-metal panel.
- Additional laboratory documentation from Eurofins.
- Evaluated jar physically received, inspected and matched to batch SJ2509.
- A traceable production chain: Himalayan collection, then purification at the company’s own Pakistan facility.
- The production and testing process is explained publicly, including the arsenic figures.
- Testing being expanded to include inorganic arsenic and thallium.
- A smooth purchase, with part of the delivery cost covered on our order.
Limitations to keep in view
- Inorganic arsenic not yet separately reported for SJ2509.
- The report’s two arsenic figures are reproduced, not reconciled.
- Composition evidence is from an earlier sample.
- A batch report covers a representative sample, not every jar.
- Laboratory testing doesn’t establish health effects.
Nature Elixirs meets our criteria for documentation, identity, authenticity, origin and fulfilment. It is the first product to complete our evaluation and currently appears as our evaluated recommendation. Brands that complete the same evaluation with equal or stronger evidence are listed alongside it.
